Make a Difference in Marine Conservation
Sri Lanka is home to five species of endangered sea turtles, and our Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Volunteer Program gives you the opportunity to contribute to their conservation. By joining this program, you will play a vital role in protecting these magnificent creatures, ensuring their survival for future generations.
Program Overview
Duration: 6 Nights, 7 Days
Daily Schedule:
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Orientation & work at the turtle farm
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch & relaxation
1:30 PM – Evening: Exploring local attractions
Your Responsibilities
- Feeding and caring for injured and baby turtles
- Cleaning and maintaining turtle tanks and conservation areas
- Assisting in beach clean-ups to protect turtle nesting grounds
- Learning about turtle conservation and sharing awareness with locals
- Helping with turtle hatchling releases (seasonal)
