Sri Lanka is home to five species of endangered sea turtles, and our Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Volunteer Program gives you the opportunity to contribute to their conservation. By joining this program, you will play a vital role in protecting these magnificent creatures, ensuring their survival for future generations.

Program Overview

  • Duration: 6 Nights, 7 Days

  • Daily Schedule:

    • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Orientation & work at the turtle farm

    • 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch & relaxation

    • 1:30 PM – Evening: Exploring local attractions

Your Responsibilities

  • Feeding and caring for injured and baby turtles
  • Cleaning and maintaining turtle tanks and conservation areas
  • Assisting in beach clean-ups to protect turtle nesting grounds
  • Learning about turtle conservation and sharing awareness with locals
  • Helping with turtle hatchling releases (seasonal)
